The Mountains were calling!
For a week this August, several thousand public safety communication professionals met in the mountains of Denver to learn, connect, network, and enjoy the beautiful scenery that was Denver, albeit a little cloudy! Several members from the Nevada APCO chapter were able to attend and a good time was had by all. Nevada APCO President Elliott Davis and member David Brown both received their RPL’s for graduating this year, Executive Council Member Nonie McCandless received an appreciation award for chairing the awards committee, classes were taught and attended, and we were able to promote the conference coming to Las Vegas next year! (although we faced a little censorship!)

It was great to have Donna Holloway, the winner of the trip to the 2016 Western Regional Conference, join us for the event. She’s seen here with motivational speaker, veteran, actor, and Dancing with the Stars winner J.R. Martinez. President Barfield also met Mr. Martinez.
Congratulations to Nonie McCandless, our Executive Council member representative, who has been awarded the distinction of Senior Member by APCO International! That’s Nonie on the right!!
